First Ideation
Hi! My name is Sevinç. I'm a 3rd year Industrial Design student from Middle East Technical University. I'm 22 years old and I was born in Bishkek/Kyrgyzstan. I came to Turkey in 2004 and have been living in Ankara ever since. I wanted to study product design because of my interest in visual arts since childhood and want to improve my surroundings. I'm very excited to be a part of Global Studio and experience what I've been studying, design, from a different perspective. I like our campus because the architecture is beautiful, it's green and full of cats! I like to spend my time with my friends by trying new places to eat and drink, having a walk, (window) shopping, watching movies or simply hanging out. I've been painting since I was little and I both make digital and traditional art. I enjoy making and gifting accessories. I'm interested in culinary arts and I love finding and trying new recipes. I love watching tv series and my favorites genres are heavy-dark comedy-dramas and sitcoms. My favorite shows are Succession and Better Call Saul. My favorites movies lately are Dog Day Afternoon, TÁR and Hot Rod. I love listening to and talking about music. My favorite musicians are Mitski, Kate Bush, Fiona Apple, Joanna Newsom and my favorite bands are King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. I enjoy listening to podcasts and I mostly listen to improve comedy podcast. I'm not into games otherwise but I love playing Stardew Valley. My favorite author is Chuck Palahniuk. Welcome, I am Furkan Tici. I am 20 years old 3th year Industrial Design student in Middle East Technical University (METU). My hometown is Tekirdağ which is a really peaceful city cause of it is being seaside. I like going gym, playing video games, riding my motorcycle, reading mangas, comics and sometimes warhammer 40k fiction books. My favourite video game is Deep Rock Glactic (Rock and Stone), manga Vagabond. I enjoy playing electronic guitar and I only play metal music. Hi, its Hacer Kırlangıç. I am 23 years old 4th year Industrial Design student at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Türkiye. I am originally from Antalya which is a very touristic city in the south of Türkiye. I am spending my summers in Antalya and I love to travel as I get a chance. Below, I will briefly mention my favorite project and things I like . That way you will have some clue about me. In my departmental elective course TV Stage Design, I had a chance to design a concert stage/area for one of my favorite music bands Muse. In this course I have learned the fundamentals of designing a stage and had so much fun with this specific project. Getting the know Stage Design industry and seeing how creative and fun designing projects like this brought my attention to this field. I have learned so much with the departmental elective courses I took and with Global Design Studio, I aim to learn the subtleties of working internationally and experience conducting a design process with people from different countries. I expect it to gain me proffessionalism with the knowledge and experince I get through the semester. More about myself; I like to spend time with my friends by going on coffee dates, playing tennis or just hanging at Devrim. Devrim is a well-known stadium of our university. I am a dog person and I wish to have a dog in near future. While I like doing these, meeting new people, seeing new places and new experiences excites me the most. With that being said; I just started to travel and I have been to some places but I can't wait to see more and gain new experiences.
