She is a project coordinator and cross media expert for Pej\u2019s kitchen, a multimedia production company and is co-founder of <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.riotstudio.it\" target=\"_blank\">Riot Studio<\/a><\/strong>, a venue devoted to creativity, research and innovation that highlights artists and movements that drive languages that are elusive \u200b\u200bin pre-established categories embracing multiple areas of knowledge. After working as an animator, designer and illustrator in various projects, she became a lecturer in METU Department of Industrial Design. She\u2019s been teaching for over ten years primarily on design foundation (1st year studio), visual communication and narrative in design. Her research interests include the use of visual narratives in the design process and the development of learning methods for basic design education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tecum\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.unav.edu\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.unav.edu\" target=\"_blank\">University of Navarra<\/a> | St Sebastian | Spain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adrian Larripa<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"mailto:alarripa@bigd.es\">alarripa@bigd.es<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adri\u00e1n Larripa<\/strong>,&nbsp;the CEO &amp; Founder<strong>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/bigd.es\/en\/home\/\">bigD Design that Matters<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/bigd.es\/en\/home\/\">,<\/a>&nbsp;in his talk will outline design project case studies to reflect on his design experiences and to share a learnings taking place in the process of Industrial Design, from the concept to manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adri\u00e1n Larripa&nbsp;<\/strong>is Industrial Design Engineer from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unizar.es\/university-zaragoza\">University of Zaragoza<\/a>&nbsp;where he graduated with honors for the final thesis project, designing a product recognized in 2019 with a European patent.<br>During the engineering studies he made international stays at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ju.se\/\">University of J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping<\/a>&nbsp;and worked in London for the prestigious design studio&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fredriksonstallard.com\/\">Fredrikson Stallard<\/a>.<br>His studies period culminated with a master\u2019s degree in Industrial Design and Innovation Engineering at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polimi.it\/\">Politecnico di Milano<\/a>&nbsp;with a Cum Laude qualification and an internship in the renowned design laboratories of the multinational&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.3m.com\/\">3M<\/a>&nbsp;in 2012.<br>That same year he co-founded in Italy&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacollaborative.com\/\">Paco Design Collaborative<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014Design and education to promote social innovation, sustainable thinking and business opportunities.<br>In 2013 he started his own Industrial Design and Innovation consultancy in Spain \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/bigd.es\/en\/home\/\"><strong>bigD Design that matters<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 receiving international awards such as the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ifdesign.com\/en\/\">IF Design Award<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.german-design-award.com\/en\/\">German Design Award<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/europeandesign.org\/\">European Design Award<\/a>. Since the skills of creative thinking are very important now in various fields of activity, I actively uses Design Thinking both for student projects and for vocational training. In 2019 I was voted \u2018Newly Recognized Artist\u2019 at the 19th Dashi Awards in China, for my work entitled \u201cJiuJiang Package\u201d.
